Bushcraft Course

Theatre of the Senses teaches, in association with Arukah Bushcraft, both traditional and modern wilderness skills. This 1-day course is an intensive 8 -hour workshop and will be held at Arukah Site, a woodlland area near Ashton-Under-Lyne.
The course covers:
Equipment, cover and shelter building, sleep systems, clothing, knots, source materials, string making, finding, filtering & purifying water, campfire cooking, fire-starting methods (ranging from using a lighter to using a bow-drill).
Please wear clothing that is suitable for the outdoor conditions of the day of the event, and especially footware which is stout and comfortable.
Sessions will include instruction and training in bushcraft skills and provide basic hands-on experience
Tea coffee, access to fresh water and toilets are provided on-site. There is space for free parking.

How to find us: Our drive is directly off the A627 (Oldham Road) opposite Hartshead Plants & Services. Do NOT drive down Knott Lanes, this takes you to the back of the farm and the lane narrows into a rough, single track where turning round is difficult.
